Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
The core features — medical record, reminders, walks and care — are free.
Do I need to sign up?
Yes, you need an account: that way your pet’s history isn’t lost when you change phones, and the whole family can see it. On iPhone you can sign in with Apple, on Android with Google, and on both with email. Signing in needs an internet connection; after that the app works offline too.
How are Noovi earned?
Noovia gives you Noovi for every useful action: a vaccination in the medical record +40, a parasite treatment +30, a walk or play session +20, a weigh-in +15, a diary entry +10. They grow your owner path — six levels from “Novice” to “Keeper”.
What are Noovi, and can I buy them?
Noovi are in-app care points. They can’t be bought with money, exchanged or cashed out: you can only earn them through useful actions and spend them in the Shop on perks from our friends, profile looks and streak freezes.
Can I use the app without Noovi?
Yes. The medical record, reminders, walks and care work on their own, and Noovi simply pile up for the useful things you do. You don’t have to spend them, and streak reminders can be switched off in the notification settings.
What if my phone doesn’t count steps?
Walk time is always tracked. Noovia takes steps and distance from your phone’s sensors. If there’s no sensor, the app lets you know and records just the time.
Do walks drain the battery?
No. Noovia doesn’t use GPS: steps are counted by the phone’s built-in pedometer, and the lock-screen walk timer is run by the system itself without waking the app.
I have several pets. Is that a hassle?
Add as many pets as you like and switch between them with one tap. Each one has its own care, walks and reminders.
Will I have to type in the whole history by hand?
No. The latest records are enough: the medical record points out what’s missing and works out the next dates. You can add the rest over time.
Can my data get lost?
Everything is stored on your device and synced to the cloud. You can export the medical record to PDF at any time.
